The Marshall Independent reports,
"The Marshall Public School board approved the addition of a high school girls soccer program at its regular board meeting on Monday at Marshall Middle School.

The district will sponsor interscholastic girls’ soccer as an extra-curricular program beginning with the 2017-18 school year. For the first year, participants would compete at the junior varsity level. Starting in the 2018-19 school year, the girls soccer team would compete at the varsity level. If participant numbers permit, a junior varsity team could also be sponsored in 2018-19."
